Download a checklist to pass 1 dan, 2 dan and 3 dan at https://www.kendo-guide.com. And you can start the free course, "Kendo Guide for the Intermediate" with me.
Unless you love striking do or are good at it, you don't need to practice do as much as you practice men and kote. I was not good at do at all so I didn't. Then after received 4-dan, I started practising do strikes.
But it is always good to be able to execute more waza, of course. Take your time and choose what you practice wisely.

Download a checklist to pass 1 dan, 2 dan and 3 dan at https://www.kendo-guide.com. And you can start the free course, "Kendo Guide for the Intermediate" with me.
This video shows you 3 different types of kirikaeshi. Can you tell the differences? If you are going for 3-dan, you should be able to do the first kirikaeshi (Ideal Kirikaeshi). Kiai should be going and you need the good rhythm.
