+ Joy of Being Normal
What an amazing thing that you can walk. How delightful it is to get out of the bed without struggling to lift up your body every morning. Just how wonderful it is to function as you are supposed to.

Happy to walk normal. And most importantly happy to be able to do kendo even a little bit at a time.

My mobility was taken away from me more than one year ago when my back gave out three times. Since then my life was miserable and depressing. Whatever I did and however I did it, pains shot through my body. Sharp pains and dull pains. Just a huge disturbance of life.
A Lot of Work to Become Normal…
Even though I still struggle with a lot of things, I can walk normally and get out of the bed without groaning.

For the last 12 months, I was working on strengthening the core and trying to listen to my body. Being honest to myself. Just thinking about betting better.

To get here, my wife patiently supported me and my kids’ smiles were the best pain killers I had ever have. My students, many of my patrons and readers were very understanding and supportive. Thank you!

I am so happy to live without much pain. I am still struggling every day but compared to one year ago, I feel much better! And I put my men on three times in the last few months. Just 5 minutes or so. But it always makes me happy.

Taking a Moment is Not a Bad thing…
No rush. But do not stop making an effort to recover. Taking a break from making an effort to recover is an important phase of recovery too.

Life is a long journey. It comes with ups and downs. So does our kendo.

If you are struggling now, step back and analyze yourself. You can take a break to take your mind off of the issue you are facing. And get back to it.

You need to breathe out to breathe in. Once you breathe in, you need to breathe out to breathe in again.

Just like that!

+ Finishing Up a  Book for Beginners
By April 2017, I want to finish up this book, Kendo Guide For Beginners. It is available in PDF but I want to use better quality pictures to publish physically and edit it more. With vivid images of the kendo movements, the book will become more useful and clearer for the readers to understand the movements.

Can you be a part of this to help me to finish the book?

It takes money and time. If you can help me with this, I can hire a camera person and start shooting the images for the book.

Here is how you can help me.
  1. Please go to patreon.com and become a patron of any level by December 31, 2016.
  2. Your name will appear in the book as my patron and a part of this project.
Platinum members will receive a physical copy of the book when published. But all the patrons will be in the book. (If you don't want your name on the book, you can tell me that too.)

Please help me to get this book out to the world at patreon.com!
+ The Kendo Learning Products will Be Gone For Good
If you want to keep my kendo instructional videos in your hands, this is the time. Because they will be gone.

Why?

A long story short, it gave a lot of people wrong impression. Money is necessity to cover expenses to provide information. People thought I was spamming them by the promotion emails because I was after their money.

If promoting the products gives you a wrong impression even a little bit, then I don't want to do that.

I don't lie to you. It costs to provide videos, podcasts and articles nowadays because people expects them in high quality even for free. My patrons are a great help for me with their generous support that I really appreciate.

The site of the learning products will disappear after this year. But if you are a platinum member at patreon.com you have access to download them anytime.
